Banner Units, also known as Priority Units, are units that can only be drafted through an overworld banner, or through post-battle Unit Drafts. As long as there are Banner Units in your draw pile, you are guaranteed to draw at least one of them at the beginning of your turn. Your champion is not a Banner Unit and is always in your opening hand. Train Stewards and most one-pip units are also not Banner Units. Dante and Heph the Blacksmith are Banner Units.
